Howdy-do everyone?

After much confusion and frustration- I was able to attend A-Kon this year, in costume!

Of course, I could only attend Saturday- but I guess that's all I've ever really needed to be satisfied with cons! My friend Sara (who cosplayed along with me) and I drove down Saturday morning around 10ish and were completely exhausted by 5pm. Normally I take with me- but my commute there and back wasn't finalized until the very day before the con, so it wasn't very due able to commit a ride for him!

I just met Sara this last school year, (It was the last day of school for me today actually!) and by coincidence, discovered that she liked Anime and was planning on attending A-Kon as her first con! Since I've had quite a bit of experience with them before- I began gooshing all over her about how much fun they were and how much she should be looking forward to it! I was quite impressed with her that she was able to pull of such a fantastic cosplay for her first Con! Not everyone bothers going all-out for their first, but her's was quite impressive!

Sara's friend's dad from school is a photographer- who just so happened to be the kind of guy that visits cons and renaissance festivals to take pictures- she called him up and arranged to have him give us a mini-photo shoot! He came later in the evening while we were at the con, and we ended up having quite a few wonderful photos turn out! (I'll be posting some up soon I swear!)

Oh! I guess you'd like to know whom we cosplayed huh? I cosplayed Rima, and Sara cosplayed Ruka, both from the night class in Vampire Knight!!!

How about an Anime review or two? I think you'd like that!

+The sudden outburst in popularity for Kuroshitsuji is huge! After the first episode I was addicted- definitely a great anime. At fist it seemed very dark and demonic but I think the creators of it took the Shakespearean approach with the "two scenes serious then one scene funny" technique. (Don't quite me on that, I'm not sure that's politically correct!) So don't be afraid! Go watch it!

<Discription!>
Super awesome wealthy family is killed, leaving boy child to run the family business. Boy makes pact with demons to help him (act as his butler and body guard) live and get revenge on those who killed his parents. There's lots of funny not so serious supporting characters too! </There that wasn't so bad was it?>

+Now, there's a manga called Hana Kimi in which I think they made into an anime- then a live action Japanese TV series, and then into a live action Taiwanese TV series too!! I've never watched the anime or read the manga, but I worked backwards, started with the Taiwan show, then the Japanese series! It's hilarious!! I highly suggest it if you're a fan of Ouran High School Host club! The live actions are very corny and over done but I LOVE them so much!! At A-kon I bought the entire series of the Japanese live action!

School's over for me, and that means I have to start up work again, the problem is that I have so much planned for the summer I doubt anyone's going to want to hire me with such a tight schedule!

Oh well- Expect a few more pairs of shoes to come up soon! I'm halfway done with pair designated for my mother!
